An instruction of one unit hour is, in principle, the instruction of a subject.
Structure of a class session
It is strongly recommendable, espetically for beginners, to make the session to be of the following sturcure :
Opening
Letting students recall the place where they are standing now. (Starting point of the session)
Announcing what should be studied in the lesson. (Goal of the session)
Developing
Closing
Letting students recognize what they have learned in the lesson, by showing the conclusion clearly.
Structurizing a session like this is not only helpful for students but also useful for the teacher. Indeed, both students and the teacher can escape from losing his way in the session by being conscious well about the place where they start and the place where they should reach.
Simple is the best..
Let each stage of the session be as simple as possible. It is no use to make a subject difficult to see by introducing unnecessary things/detours.
Of course, in order that a teacher can do this, or he/she can discrimiate between those which are essentian and those inessential, he/she should have knowledge of mathematics to some extent.
