Up A Preface for
the Simple Approach to the Mathematics Education
 


        The final goal of the science of mathematics education is to serve concrete teaching plans. Any study in mathematics education should bear fruit in them.
        In this view, today's situation of the science of mathematics education becomes still harder for us to look through. In the way of professionalization, the range of each study becomes smaller and smaller, and the ’directness' dissappears.
        Therefore, we need anothr type of study. That is, such a study as to retain the goal in its view and to walk with long strides toward the goal. I will call this type of study the simple approach to the mathematics education.
        It is very easy to criticize the simple approach from the professional standpoint. In fact, the simple approach expect to call any professional criticisms and to make them its nourish for growth. The simple approach does not imitate such a way of professional studies as obsessive-compulsively to fall into details in fear of criticisms.
