In communication, we use a variety of senses (visual, auditory, tactile, and so on). And the more we can apply different kinds of senses as multi-channel, the more the grade of communication is improved. Therefore, a direct solution for "improvement of communication" is "shifting communication media to multimedia".
And in this sense, "shifting teaching/learning media to multimedia" becomes one of the primary contents of "innovation of teaching/learning media".
- Here, "shifting to multimedia" means "shifting to multi-sense", in particular, "not restricting solely to visual".
By shifting teaching/learning media to multimedia, we aim at improvement of communication in the manner of "rich representation of subjects". In fact, in this sense, multimedia is inevitable. The content of shift to multimedia is related to the future progress of technology. It is a practical issue.
