It is difficult, by the nature of the subject, to make the author's approach to the course design a 'scientific' one. Indeed, he practices course design mostly relying on experience-based intuition, or rules of thumb, especially about managing diverse individuals.
Experienced organizers have their own rules of thumb for coordinating/controlling diverse individuals. But the importance is the sharing of their knowledge. Here a science/engineering of 'organization design', or 'individuals diversity oriented design', becomes required.
Thus, the author is preparing a kind of "diversity evaluation scale", in perspective of scientific/engineering approach to 'individuals diversity oriented organization design'.
