Japanese Making Teacher's Guide to Primary School Math
Three Options for Product-out

• In any project, the most important is its product-out.
  Our product-out is a "Teacher"s Guide for Mathematics Education".
  
  
• A "Teacher's Guide" that does not reach teachers is not a "Teacher's Guide", but merely a monologue, a report of an autistic study.
  Thus, the media, on which "Teacher's Guide" that reach teachers is realized, is one of the most important subjects of our project.
  
  
• From this standpoint, I prepared the following three options for product-out :
  
  
  • Homepage
  • CD-ROM
  • Book
  
  Each has its proper strong/weak points. The following is an illustration :

• "Guide" CD-ROM was produced simply by recording the "Guide" homepage onto CD-R's.
  
  
• On the other hand, contents of "Guidebook" cannot be the same as those of "Guide" homepage. Homepage is a hypertext. This cannot be copy to "Guidebook", which is of the sequential structure.
  
  
• "Guide" in the form of homepage/CD-ROM is superior to "Guidebook" at the following points :
  
  
  • Quantity of contents is practically irrelevant to the cost.
  • Able to use multimedia.
  • Able to design Interactivity.
  • Able to design indivisualized couses according to difference of grades, by using hypertext structure.
